ELECTRICAL ENGINEER IN TRAINING (EIT)

JOB LOCATION: Bellevue Nebraska (suburb of Omaha)

TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-Time

ANNUAL SALARY: Salary + Performance Based Compensation

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree Engineering

JOB DESCRIPTION: We have an immediate opening for an Electrical EIT to work on a variety of commercial and industrial projects. KPE’s primary service markets are industrial/railroad, education, healthcare and commercial facilities plus Investigative Engineering for the insurance and legal claims industry. This position requires an individual who can provide the utmost in accuracy for all technical work and correspondence and must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with the design team and our clients.

Job Responsibilities: Create detailed electrical designs for commercial and industrial facilities including power distribution, standby power, lighting, instrumentation, controls, communications, security and fire detection systems. Perform detailed system calculations, development of construction drawings and specifications, develop construction cost estimates, assist in developing proposals and fee estimates, perform investigatory field work, coordinate with clients, review shop drawings and perform construction administration/construction observation services. Upon completion of training, the successful applicant may be asked to assist in investigative engineering services.

Qualifications:

•             BS in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with electrical emphasis.

•             Must have passed the FE/EIT exam

•             Strong computer skills required

•             0 to 4 years of experience designing electrical systems for commercial or industrial facilities.

•             Power systems coursework and/or experience with medium-voltage (overhead and/or underground) and low-voltage power distribution systems preferred.

•             Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code a plus.

•             Experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP, or Autodesk Revit a plus, especially 3D modeling experience.

•             Experience with SKM Power Tools a plus.

•             Experience in Industrial facilities a plus.

•             Experience with Instrumentation and Controls systems a plus.

•             Military or construction experience a plus.

 

 

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/RECEPTIONIST

This position is expected to be filled with a quality individual capable of handling the phones and company scheduling tasks in addition to filing and administrative support to the Administrative Manager.
